Good Mental Health Supports Safety at Work

Physically, you could be as healthy as a horse, but if your mental health isn’t great, you may not even be able to get out of bed in the morning, never mind showing up on the jobsite and putting in a productive day.

More and more, people are starting to realize that good mental health is central to living well. Here at Safety Meeting Outlines, we’ve long known that stress, fatigue, burnout, addiction problems, anxiety, depression, workplace violence, and other issues linked to mental health can directly affect jobsite safety.

For years we’ve been quietly educating people about good mental health. This year, in order to make our commitment to mental health official, we’re adding a new category to our safety meeting topics: Mental Health.

Issues as common—and as complex—as those that contribute to poor mental health don’t belong in our “General Safety” category. Adding a “Mental Health” standalone category braces our commitment to all aspects of worker safety, and helps you to be a better safety leader.

If you need more meetings, on Mental Health or safety issues that are related to mental health issues, or in fact, any other safety subject, we have hundreds of meetings available in our Online Library. Click here for more information on how to access the Online Library.
