The Supervisor’s Role in Safety Training
Whether the “supervisor” is the most experienced carpenter, a superintendent, or the company owner, his or her role is critical in many different ways. Often we think of the supervisor as being responsible for keeping the crew, staff, or employees working efficiently; and that is certainly true. In addition to working for operations, the first line supervisor also works for the payroll, HR, quality assurance, accounting, and the safety department. Whether or not your company has official departments for each of those areas, your front line supervisors most likely have responsibilities in all of those areas.
